RaccRace Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

RaccRace does not collect, store or transmit any personal information to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no server and no analytics.

What the app stores

RaccRace saves two things on your device so you don't have to type them again: the name you choose for yourself and the name you give your raccoon. It also keeps a short list of recent race results. All of this is held in the app's own storage on your device, and it is removed when you delete the app.

None of it is sent to us. We have no servers and no way to see it.

What is shared with other players

When you host or join a race, your chosen name and your raccoon's name are sent directly to the other devices taking part, so everyone can see who is racing. This happens over your local network or directly between devices — it does not travel over the internet and it does not pass through us.

Only people in the same race, on the same network, receive it. Nothing is retained on their devices once the session ends, beyond the list of recent winners held locally on each device.

Local network access

iOS will ask for permission to find and connect to devices on your local network. RaccRace uses this for one purpose only: discovering other people running the app nearby so you can race together. It is not used to scan your network, identify other devices, or gather information of any kind.

You can change this at any time in Settings › RaccRace › Local Network. Declining it does not stop you playing on your own.

What we do not do

Information Apple may collect

If you install RaccRace from the App Store or TestFlight, Apple may collect information such as crash reports and basic usage statistics under its own policies. We may see aggregated, anonymous crash and download figures through App Store Connect. We cannot identify individual users from these, and we do not attempt to. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

RaccRace is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request access to or deletion of.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. If a future version of the app ever collects information, that change will be described here before it takes effect.
